Free Quotation Generator

A quotation (also called a quote or estimate) sets out the price for a piece of work before it starts — unlike an invoice, it isn't a request for payment for work already delivered. This tool turns a plain description of the job into a properly formatted quotation, with an expiry date, itemised line items, an optional deposit, and a place for the client to sign off. Everything runs locally in your browser: filling in the form, calculating totals, and generating the PDF. Nothing is uploaded to a server, there's no login screen, and the download is never gated. Up to 10 quotations are saved on this device so you can reopen and duplicate one for a repeat prospect.

A quotation is a proposed price sent before work begins, and it expires — it's not a bill. An invoice is a request for payment sent after (or during) the work, with a due date instead of an expiry date. Once a client accepts a quotation, use the Convert to invoice button on the saved quotation to carry the same parties, line items, currency, tax, and discount straight into a new invoice.

1. Click New quotation to open a blank draft.
2. Fill in your business details under From, and your prospect's under Prepared For.
3. Add a line item for each piece of work, with a description, quantity, and rate — the line total and running total calculate automatically.
4. Turn on Tax, Discount, or a Deposit only if this quotation actually needs them, and set your currency.
5. Set how long the quotation stays valid, and add any notes or terms.
6. Click Save to keep a copy in this browser, then Download PDF to get the file.

• A unique quotation number and the date it was issued
• An expiry date, so the price isn't held open indefinitely
• Your name or business name, address, and contact details
• The prospect's legal entity name and address
• Itemised description, quantity, rate, and line total for each item
• Subtotal, tax (if applicable), and the total — with the currency shown clearly
• Any deposit required before work starts, and how it will be applied to the final bill

A deposit makes the most sense whenever you need to buy materials, block out time, or turn away other work to take the job — trade and construction work, custom builds, and larger design projects are the usual cases. Turn on the deposit line, choose a percentage or a flat amount, and the PDF shows the deposit and the balance due on acceptance separately.
