About GIF to JPG Converter
This is the conversion for getting a GIF into somewhere that will not take one — a printed document, a slide deck, a photo-only upload form, an e-commerce listing. JPG is read by everything, and for a photographic GIF the file usually comes out smaller as well. What you receive is one still image, not a moving one.
Drop up to 15 GIF files (5MB each) and click Convert with JPG preselected. The first visible frame of any animation is used. Download each file or take everything as a ZIP.
Two things disappear at once here, which catches people out. Animation collapses to a single frame, and transparency is flattened onto solid white — so a GIF sticker designed to sit on a coloured background arrives with a white box around it. If either matters, convert to PNG instead, which keeps the transparency even though the animation still goes. Where GIF to JPG genuinely shines is photographic GIFs from old forums and archives: the 256-colour source converts cleanly and the result opens anywhere.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens to an animated GIF converted to JPG?
Only the first/visible frame is kept as a single still image — JPG can't store animation, so the rest of the frames are discarded.
Why is my JPG smaller than the original GIF?
JPG's lossy photographic compression is usually more efficient than GIF's 256-color palette for photo-like images, especially once you drop the extra animation frames.
What happens to transparent pixels in the GIF?
They're filled with solid white, since JPG has no transparency support and GIF only supports fully-transparent (not partial) pixels to begin with.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Conversion happens entirely in your browser.
